Core Tip Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the most dangerous malignancies affecting human health. However, the mechanism of ESCC is still unclear. Here, our study reveals that KIFC3 is upregulated in ESCC. In addition, overexpressed KIFC3 is associated with poor prognosis in ESCC patients. Furthermore, in vitro and in vivo experiments reveal that KIFC3 promotes the proliferation, migration, and invasion of ESCC cells by activating EMT and β-catenin signaling. Our study strongly suggests that KIFC3 may be a potential new therapeutic target for ESCC treatment.
