Key areas for future research include: (1) Sedation safety with propofol and midazolam; (2) Airway management with a focus on obstructive sleep apnea; (3) Risk factors for complications and mortality; (4) Colorectal cancer examination and treatment; and (5) Patient satisfaction. These insights aim to guide anesthesiologists toward more evidence-based practices for improved safety and outcomes in elderly patients.
