Core Tip	Owing to its minimally invasive nature, laparoscopic surgery has shown better postoperative recovery and cosmetic outcomes in colon cancer treatment. This study explored the clinical effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery for treating T3-T4a stage colon cancer that is of great significance for further exploring treatment options for these patients. Our findings revealed that laparoscopic surgery has good immediate effects as well as a long-term survival rate comparable to open surgery, providing a valuable reference for clinical practice.
