Core Tip |
This updated systematic review and meta-analysis of 16 randomized controlled trials involving 2385 intensive care unit (ICU) patients demonstrates that initiating early mobilization (EM) (within 72 hours of ICU admission) significantly reduces ICU length of stay and mechanical ventilation duration while improving muscle strength and functional status. EM does not increase adverse events or mortality, supporting its safety and efficacy as a routine ICU intervention. |
