Core Tip Hepatitis B is highly prevalent among patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly those on hemodialysis. To prevent its spread, vaccination against hepatitis B is recommended for all patients with CKD. Highly effective oral antiviral drugs with a strong barrier to resistance are available for treating CKD patients with hepatitis B. The dose is adjusted based on the patients' creatinine clearance. Given the ever-increasing number of patients with CKD and hepatitis B, it is crucial to raise awareness regarding its modes of transmission, prevention strategies, and available treatment modalities.
