Albumin-bilirubin score; Direct-acting antiviral agents; Chronic hepatitis C; Liver fibrosis; Liver function |
Core Tip |
The albumin-bilirubin score is a simple and reproducible score that showed significant improvement following direct-acting antivirals treatment in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection. Moreover, it predicted advanced liver fibrosis with a sensitivity of 60% and a specificity of 83% at a cut-off value of -2.38. Accordingly, it could be utilized to monitor liver function and to determine the extent of liver fibrosis among those patients. |
