Reducing agents, sodium thiosulfate and R-dihydrolipoic acid, are safe and highly effective to induce and maintain remission of ulcerative colitis, respectively, without the need for immunosuppressive drugs, even in patients who are refractory or poorly controlled by conventional and advanced therapies. |
