| Core Tip |
RRM2 protects against ferroptosis-mediated renal tubular damage by activating the PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 signaling pathway. This discovery deepens our understanding of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) pathogenesis, highlights RRM2 as both a potential biomarker and a therapeutic target. Therefore, strategies for preventing and treating DKD should consider modulating ferroptosis. |
