| Core Tip |
Preemptive transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt is an effective procedure for treating acute variceal bleeding. However, it carries the risk of serious complications. In this article, we examine a deep learning model, which leverages clinical data from the first 24 hours of admission (including baseline parameters, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings) to identify high-risk individuals with acute variceal bleeding who would benefit from preemptive transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt. |
