Core Tip Hu et al reported promising outcomes for image-guided thermal ablation (IGTA) in oligometastatic colorectal cancer. Among 336 patients, the 3-year and 5-year survival rates were 59.5% and 41.0%, respectively. Extrapulmonary metastases were associated with a worse prognosis, while liver-only disease showed the best outcomes. The combination of IGTA with systemic therapy further improved survival, supporting IGTA as an effective, minimally invasive treatment option for selected patients.
