| Core Tip |
This letter highlights the innovative integration of individualized exercise training (IET)—combining aerobic and resistance modalities—to simultaneously improve glycemic control and nutritional status in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus undergoing chemotherapy for colorectal cancer. By targeting both insulin resistance and sarcopenia, IET emerges as a feasible, non-pharmacological strategy to enhance treatment tolerance and metabolic outcomes in this high-risk comorbid population, reinforcing the concept of “exercise as medicine” in oncometabolic care. |
