Core Tip Children born by cesarean section and with a history of mumps tended to be present an earlier age at type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) diagnosis, possibly through immune modulation and perinatal exposures. These results suggest the role of environmental and/or perinatal factors in T1DM pathophysiology.
