| Core Tip |
In a Chinese population, better sleep health, as measured by a composite healthy sleep score, is associated with a reduced prevalence of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). This association is partially explained by mediating factors including insulin resistance, inflammation, remnant cholesterol, and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The findings highlight the improvement of overall sleep patterns as a potential public health strategy for MASLD prevention. |
