GC’s molecular heterogeneity, inadequate dose optimization, and small sample size limit the study’s conclusions. Precision timing strategies integrating tumor biology (e.g., molecular subtypes), patient recovery status, and dynamic monitoring (e.g., circulating tumor DNA) may offer a pathway to improve outcomes, requiring validation in large, well-designed prospective trials.
