| Core Tip |
This opinion review investigates influencing factors in bio-psycho-socially oriented treatments for individuals with long-term psychosomatic consequences after coronavirus disease 2019, also focusing the patients' perspective. The aim is to show effects on changes in coping with illness and symptoms. The quality of relationship building and the significance of the group are identified as essential factors. Beyond enhanced coping skills, a changed attitude towards oneself is central. Personality structure and mentalization capacity are mediating factors. |
