Core Tip Diabetes and prostate cancer (PCa) are comorbidities affecting older men. Diabetes is known to increase risk of various types of cancer but shows protective effects for PCa. We discuss the complex relationship of diabetes with PCa, antidiabetic drug metformin use in PCa therapy and suggest tools to understand the association between both.
