Core Tip Tranexamic acid should not be considered a cause of generalized myoclonus until all other causes have been adequately ruled out. In a patient with generalized myoclonus following a myocardial infarction requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for cardiogenic shock, comprehensive neurological, metabolic, and infectious disease investigations are necessary to avoid overlooking other possible causes of generalized myoclonus
