| Core Tip |
Early enteral nutrition following gastric cancer surgery plays a crucial role in promoting postoperative recovery. It accelerates the restoration of gastrointestinal function, improves nutritional status, and reduces systemic inflammatory responses. In addition, early nutritional support helps maintain intestinal barrier integrity, enhances immune function, and lowers the incidence of postoperative complications, including infections and delayed intestinal recovery. Current evidence suggests that early enteral nutrition is an effective and safe postoperative strategy, serving as an important protective factor for improved clinical outcomes in patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery. |
