Core Tip Wilson disease (WD) is a rare inherited metabolic liver disease that commonly presents as cirrhosis. A brief non-invasive model for WD-related cirrhosis was constructed using age, platelet count, and routine laboratory parameters. After propensity score matching for age and sex, two key determinants of WD phenotypic expression, WD cirrhosis showed a distinct complication profile, with higher risks of hepatic failure and hepatic encephalopathy, but lower rates of esophagogastric variceal bleeding and hepatocellular carcinoma compared with other etiologies.
