Core Tip This study utilized the emotional go/no-go task to examine behavioral performance, event-related potential characteristics, and aggressive impulse scale data, aiming to reveal the possible differences in the neural mechanisms of aggressive behavior in patients with schizophrenia (SCZ) and bipolar disorder (BD), and to further deepen the research on the cognitive function of patients with SCZ and BD, to provide new therapeutic targets and targeted interventions for aggressive behavior in patients with SCZ and BD.
