Core Tip	Patients with non-radically resectable intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile (IPNB) duct usually have more severe clinical symptoms (abdominal pain, jaundice, and recurrent cholangitis), a higher risk of malignant transformation, and a worse prognosis. Therefore, proactive interventions are necessary to relieve clinical symptoms and prolong survival. Herein, we describe three patients with type I IPNB who underwent debulking surgery (left lateral segment resection, two patients; left hepatectomy, one patient). The surgery reduced tumor burden and alleviated symptoms in all patients. The findings emphasize the importance of comprehensive management of patients with IPNB for raising clinicians’ awareness and improving patient outcomes.
