| Core Tip |
This single-center study evaluated transgastric natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) cystogastrostomy as salvage therapy for pancreatic pseudocysts after failed endoscopic ultrasound-guided drainage in 8 patients. Technical and clinical success rates were 100% and 87.5%, respectively, with no major bleeding or infection during or after operation. One patient (12.5%) experienced recurrence due to pancreatic duct disruption. In this limited experience, NOTES appeared feasible and safe for selected patients, but larger studies are needed. |
