| Core Tip |
This retrospective study compared bile duct territory-guided anatomic liver resection (ARB) with non-ARB resection in 136 patients with localized hepatolithiasis. ARB determines the extent of liver resection according to the actual distribution, branching pattern, and course of the diseased bile ducts. Compared with non-ARB resection, ARB was associated with lower odds of postoperative bile leakage, residual stones, and stone recurrence. These findings provide clinical evidence supporting ARB as a feasible strategy for limited laparoscopic liver resection in selected patients with localized hepatolithiasis. |
