Bronchial artery embolization is the first-line therapy for massive hemoptysis, but post-procedural recurrence remains common and no validated prognostic tool exists. In this retrospective single-center study, we developed a logistic regression model incorporating comorbidities, embolic material, radiographic extent, and vascular variants. Multivariate analysis identified chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, gelatin sponge use, extensive parenchymal involvement, and aberrant vascular anatomy as independent predictors. The model showed good discrimination (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve = 0.845) with only mild overfitting (optimism-corrected C-statistic=0.810). These findings are preliminary and hypothesis-generating; clinical application requires rigorous external validation in prospective multi‑institutional cohorts. |
