Core Tip	Infantile hypotonic syndrome in the general pediatric population poses a significant clinical challenge due to the wide heterogeneity of its manifestations and its diverse etiology. The importance of reporting the second case of Shaaf-Yang syndrome in Colombia goes beyond the uniqueness of this case; it contributes to the medical literature by highlighting the appropriate approach to managing a child with hypotonic syndrome and its systemic complications. This can serve as a guide when considering dysmorphic genetic syndromes, including specific complementary genetic testing, avoiding delays in diagnosis, and reducing complications in severe phenotypes, as demonstrated by the phenotype described throughout this report.
