| Core Tip |
This systematic review and network meta-analysis compared screening-positive anxiety and depression outcomes after commonly performed bariatric procedures. Randomized evidence did not demonstrate a statistically significant long-term difference between sleeve gastrectomy and conventional Roux-en-Y gastric bypass for clinically relevant anxiety or depression. Roux-en-Y gastric bypass showed a lower depression estimate than laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, but certainty was very low. Procedure ranking probabilities should not be interpreted as proof of clinical superiority. |
