| Core Tip |
Artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative adjunct to endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), with promising applications for assessing pancreatic solid and cystic lesions, gastrointestinal subepithelial lesions, and lymph nodes, as well as for EUS-guided tissue acquisition. Contemporary deep learning models exhibit high diagnostic accuracy and have the potential to reduce interobserver variability, enhance lesion characterization, enable rapid digital on-site cytopathologic evaluation, and improve procedural efficiency. AI should currently be regarded as an assistive tool, and future multicenter prospective studies, standardized reporting, and seamless clinical integration are essential for the widespread adoption of this approach. |
