Core Tip	While low donation rates have traditionally been attributed to factors such as limited public awareness, lack of trust in healthcare systems, religious beliefs, restrictive legislation, and inadequate communication strategies, these explanations are incomplete. Even in countries with adequate critical care resources, the effectiveness of donor procurement depends on the training and commitment of healthcare professionals responsible for managing potential donors. Consequently, differences in clinical management and organ procurement practices may account for variations in donation rates observed between otherwise comparable countries. A systematic approach to identifying bottlenecks and optimizing the organ procurement process is therefore essential to increase solid organ transplantation rates.
