| Core Tip |
This retrospective case-control study examined rooming-in implementation quality as a multidimensional care-process measure in relation to postpartum depression (PPD) among primiparous women. A study-specific Rooming-in Implementation Score (RIS) was combined with prenatal Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and concurrent postpartum psychosocial measures in an internally validated exploratory nomogram. The apparent area under the curve (AUC) was 0.881 and the bootstrap-corrected AUC was 0.863. Because RIS, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Social Support Rating Scale, and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale were assessed at the same 6-week visit as PPD status and the control group was restricted to EPDS ≤ 8, the findings should not be interpreted as causal or as population-calibrated absolute risk estimates. Prospective external validation is required. |
