Core Tip Global radiomics, habitat imaging, and topology-informed analysis are complementary rather than successive methods. They ask what overall phenotype a tumor has, which spatially distinct subregions are present, and how local phenotypes are organized. This review uses a distribution-localization-organization framework to map the evidence across major gastrointestinal cancers. Clinical translation depends on reproducibility, biological anchoring, incremental value, and prospective decision impact rather than on discrimination alone.
