| Core Tip |
In this study, trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (TROP2) expression was examined in a relatively large cohort of digestive neuroendocrine carcinomas. High TROP2 expression showed a subtype-associated pattern. TROP2 also provided ancillary value in distinguishing large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma from grade 3 neuroendocrine tumors. High TROP2 expression was also more common in tumors with fewer positive conventional neuroendocrine markers. It was associated with poorer overall survival in the multivariable model, and time-varying analyses suggested a progressively stronger adverse association over follow-up. However, continuous H-score was not associated with overall survival, and the survival threshold showed limited stability; therefore, the prognostic findings remain exploratory and require external validation. |
