Core Tip	Liver diseases in pregnancy can be broadly divided into gestational liver disorders and hepatic diseases occurring coincidentally during pregnancy. The presence of liver disease usually classifies pregnancy into a high-risk category and requires a multidisciplinary approach to management. Early diagnosis and optimised management of these conditions are associated with improved maternal and fetal outcomes. This minireview is focused on current knowledge on the diagnosis and management of liver diseases during pregnancy with particular emphasis on gestational liver disorders.
