| Core Tip |
In 937 patients with hypertriglyceridemia-associated acute pancreatitis, admission pleural effusion was independently associated with greater first-day intravenous fluid administration. This readily available admission finding may help characterize an early clinical phenotype and support individualized reassessment during initial care. The analysis provides an etiologically specific description of admission pleural effusion and first-day intravenous fluid administration in routine hypertriglyceridemia-associated acute pancreatitis care. |
