| Core Tip |
Neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) is rapidly emerging as a transformative strategy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) management. This minireview synthesizes current evidence across locoregional and systemic modalities, highlighting the promise of multimodal approaches in improving resectability, pathological response, and recurrence control. We identify key unresolved challenges-optimal treatment duration, surgical timing, response assessment, and patient selection-that currently limit clinical translation. By framing NAT within the evolving perioperative landscape, this review provides a roadmap for future prospective studies needed to standardize protocols and confirm survival benefits in HCC. |
