| Core Tip |
Solute carrier family 25A18 (SLC25A18) is downregulated in cholangiocarcinoma, and its deficiency promotes tumor progression and reduces gemcitabine sensitivity in preclinical models. Mechanistically, SLC25A18 associates with transforming growth factor beta receptor 1 (TGFBR1) and promotes its ubiquitination and proteasomal turnover, with K449 contributing to the observed ubiquitination signal. Combined SLC25A18/TGFBR1 expression provides exploratory prognostic stratification in this retrospective cohort, while its predictive and therapeutic relevance requires independent validation. |
