| Core Tip |
First-line treatment for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced gastric cancer (GC) is primarily based on chemotherapy combined with trastuzumab. However, the median overall survival of advanced GC is only about 12 months. No standard consensus second-line treatment has been established for patients with HER2-positive advanced GC following progression on trastuzumab-based therapy. This case achieved a complete response and durable survival following treatment with HER2-targeted antibody-drug conjugates in combination with immunotherapy. This case highlights the potential therapeutic value of this combination strategy and provides additional real-world evidence to support its use in trastuzumab-resistant HER2-positive advanced GC. |
