| Core Tip |
This network meta-analysis compared traditional Chinese medicine-based interventions for gastrointestinal recovery after colorectal cancer surgery. Across 34 randomized controlled trials, the certainty of evidence was low or very low, with substantial heterogeneity and predominantly indirect comparisons between active interventions. Although several interventions showed favorable treatment rankings for individual outcomes, these rankings should not be interpreted as evidence of clinical superiority or synergy between combined therapies. The findings are exploratory and primarily highlight priorities for future adequately powered, direct head-to-head trials rather than supporting the selection of a preferred intervention for routine clinical practice. |
