Gastrointestinal effects of COVID-19 have a significant impact on the diagnosis, misdiagnosis, prognosis, faecal-oral transmission route, gut microbiota, and child nutrition. The presence of gastrointestinal symptoms in children with COVID-19 should not be ignored.
