Core Tip Current study is a significant report to analyse prognostic genes indicative of radioresistance during continuous radiation therapy in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients and benefits to incorporate these genes for early prognosis. Clinical relevance of this work for the esophageal cancer patients is to choose suitable radiation dose to minimize the resistance acquired by rapidly proliferating ESCC cells during the treatment. It is possible to screen the patients with radioresistant ESCC based on the expression of these prognostic genes CTSS, CD180 and SCIMP to choose a suitable therapeutic regimen in advance.
