Core Tip Acrylamide (ACR), a common food contaminant, contributes to liver injury through oxidative and inflammatory mechanisms. Nour El Deen et al[1] demonstrate that a standardized ginger extract ( ≥ 20% 6-gingerol) protects against ACR-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. The editorial highlights the broader implications of such findings: Standardized nutraceuticals can serve as accessible tools for preventive hepatology. Within a precision-nutrition context, rigorous compositional and molecular validation will be essential to translate these preclinical observations into human relevance.
