Core Tip This study investigates the relationship between thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels and suicide attempts in first-episode drug-naïve major depressive disorder patients. The results show a positive independent correlation between TSH levels and suicide attempts, with a significant increase in the correlation when TSH exceeds 5.43 µIU/mL. This finding provides a new biomarker-based perspective for early suicide risk identification in depressed patients.
