Core Tip Lin et al’s study presents a compelling case for integrating “Internet+” technologies into post-discharge care for depression. By utilizing WeChat for continuous monitoring and education, the intervention significantly improved patient outcomes, including symptom reduction and medication adherence. This digital approach addresses critical gaps in traditional follow-up models. However, the study’s limitations-specifically its single-center nature and short duration-necessitate cautious interpretation. The findings underscore the need for rigorous, large-scale trials to confirm the long-term efficacy and scalability of such digital nursing interventions in diverse clinical settings.
