Core Tip To date, no large-scale randomized controlled trial (RCT) has directly compared different cycle numbers of docetaxel-based perioperative chemotherapy, leaving the optimal regimen undetermined. Therefore, this study aims to perform a network meta-analysis to systematically synthesize evidence from relevant RCTs. We seek, for the first time, to comprehensively evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of docetaxel-based perioperative chemotherapy regimens with different cycle numbers in patients with LAGC and GEJC. This analysis is intended to explore the optimal number of chemotherapy cycles and provide evidence to guide clinical practice.
