| Core Tip |
This retrospective study of 118 patients undergoing head and neck surgery found that perioperative psychological nursing was associated with lower postoperative anxiety and depression scores than routine nursing. After adjustment for operation duration and other covariates, psychological nursing remained associated with lower odds of postoperative anxiety symptoms, with an odds ratio of 0.082, and depressive symptoms, with an odds ratio of 0.070. These findings support further evaluation of early emotional screening and targeted psychological support in perioperative care. |
