This bibliometric study analyzed 3156 articles from the Web of Science Core Collection (2007-2024) to map global gut microbiota-mental health research using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Scimago. Unlike prior single-disorder analyses, it covers the full spectrum of major psychiatric conditions. China leads publication volume, while developed nations dominate collaborative centrality. Dysfunctional gut microbiota and controlled trials are emerging frontiers, calling for more human trials and targeted therapies. |
