Core Tip	This study uses phenomenological interviews to explore the dynamic process of dyadic coping with fear of cancer recurrence among lung cancer patients and their spouses. Based on dual disease management theory, three phases were identified: Synchronised threat perception and bonding; divergent coping and relational tension; and meaning reconstruction and co-evolution. The findings reveal that couples’ coping with FCR is an ongoing process of interaction, adaptation and mutual growth. Based on this process, healthcare professionals can develop culturally appropriate dyadic interventions to enhance both partners’ well-being.
