| Core Tip |
In this retrospective cohort study, archived postoperative day 1 biomarker probabilities discriminated recorded portal vein thrombosis in a same-centre temporal cohort, with area under the curve 0.835. Risk-stratum outcomes, calibration and decision curves are reported with uncertainty. Diagnosis-based landmark analysis cannot exclude occult thrombosis before sampling. Exact clinical timing and the original fitted model remain unavailable, limiting incident-risk interpretation and clinical application. |
