| Core Tip |
In this cohort, neither bismuth nor non-bismuth quadruple therapy achieved the eradication target of ≥ 90% and the factors most strongly associated with failure were prior treatment and prior penicillin exposure. One key finding is that these factors were differentially associated with failure in the two regimens: Non-bismuth therapy was considerably more sensitive to prior treatment than bismuth therapy. This differential should be regarded as a hypothesis for future studies rather than a treatment guideline, given the limitations of a retrospective cohort. |
