Core Tip This is the first bibliometric analysis systematically comparing Crohn’s disease-associated and non-Crohn’s anal fistula research over 25 years. We reveal that Crohn’s fistula research exhibits exponential growth ((compound annual growth rate: 9.65%) driven by biologics and stem cell therapies, forming a globalized network, while non-Crohn’s fistula research follows a linear trajectory centered on surgical innovation. Asian countries show high output but low citation impact, highlighting the need for strengthened international collaboration.
