| Core Tip |
This retrospective study developed and validated a nomogram that integrated preoperative and intraoperative risk factors as predictors and showed satisfactory predictive performance in patients. To the best of our knowledge, no predictive model specifically designed for prolonged postoperative ileus in patients undergoing radical resection for distal gastric cancer has previously been reported in the literature. This predictive model improves the accuracy of identifying prolonged postoperative ileus in patients undergoing distal radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer, thereby enabling timely intervention and offering an evidence-based foundation for future personalized, precision perioperative management. |
